Replication Copy Protection

CD-ROM / DVD-ROM Data Protection

We can provide effective protection against digital cloning for both CD-ROM and DVD-ROM. We have the most powerful tools on the market for protecting your software against CD/DVD-R burning, hard disc recording, distribution over the internet and piracy by mass replication.
Copy Protection Level 3Basic data protection provides the ability to secure an exe file against being copied. This exe file can then only be run from an original and authentic master CD or DVD.
Copy Protection Level 3Intermediate protection allows you to prevent unauthorised copying of many types of document files, including QuickTime video, WAVE audio, jpeg images, Word documents and many more. This protection will also secure the disc from 1-to-1 copying. Please note that this protection is not currently available for DVD-ROM.
Copy Protection Level 3Advanced copy protection uses a USB dongle system to ensure your software can only be used by an authorised and licensed person. Your software would be modified so that it can only run when the uniquely prepared dongle is detected in the user's USB port.

Under this system each disc would need to ship with the unique USB dongle. This mixture of hardware and software creates the most secure environment for distributing your data or application.

DVD-Video Protection

Video piracy is a huge threat to the film industry. The rise of personal computers has turned digital copying into the most used method of unauthorized DVD-Video duplication. We have dynamic digital copy control systems which prevent copying on home PCs and prevent 1-to-1 duplication, ripping, recompression and unauthorized mass replication of DVD-Video. Copy Protection Level 3Intermediate protection is CSS (Content Scrambling System), which is a digital rights management (DRM) system that prevents 1-to-1 copying of DVDs and copying to hard drives.

CSS protection needs to be set when authoring the DVD-Video and the master needs to be written to a DLT tape rather than a recordable DVD. We can author your disc and setup CSS protection for you. Go to our DVD authoring section for more information.
Copy Protection Level 3Advanced DVD-Video copy protection provides the most effective defence against illegal DVD copying. This system disallows 1-to-1 disc copying, copying to hard drives, ripping and video recompression.

This protection does not require any setup in authoring. You can simply author to a standard DVD-R and we will do the rest.

Copy Protection Level 3Intermediate DVD Recordable protection solution is available NOW for video files. Do you want to run a small trial DVD or do you only need to reach a small target audience but don't want your important assets falling in to the wrong hands? We have the solution. When an attempt to rip one of our DVD Recordable copy protected discs is made, the encryption confuses the reporting of the files, preventing 1-to-1 copying and file transfer copying. All this is done while maintaining compatibility with the standard DVD players.
