Copying has become a huge
threat to content owners and industry in general.
Multi Media has a range of security solutions to suit
both short-run and volume manufacture in any data format.
Below are the options for copy protection when manufacturing
duplicated CDs and DVDs.
Basic
CD-R protection provides security against copying
executable files
as well as preventing 1-to-1 copying. Protected
files on specially prepared CD-Rs will be unable
to run unless the original disc is in the CD Drive.
Intermediate
protection allows you to secure executable program
files (.exe) and many
types of document files, including
quicktime video, WAVE audio, jpeg images, Word documents
and many more. Protected files on specially prepared
CD-Rs will be unable to run unless the original
disc is in the CD Drive. This protection will also
secure the disc from 1-to-1 copying.
Advanced
CD-R copy protection uses a USB
dongle system to ensure your software
can only be used by an authorised and licensed person.
Your software would be modified so that it can only
run when the uniquely prepared dongle is detected
in the user's USB port.
Under this system each disc would need to ship with
the unique USB dongle. This mixture of hardware
and software creates the most secure environment
for distributing your data or application.

need to reach a small target audience but don’t
want your important assets falling in to the wrong
hands? We have the solution. When an attempt to
rip one of our DVD Recordable copy protected discs
is made, the encryption
confuses the reporting of the files, preventing
1-to-1 copying and file transfer copying. All this
is done while maintaining compatability with
the standard DVD players.
